The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a driven leader to join our team as Deputy Warden of Operations. Under the direction of the Warden, the Deputy Warden of Operations monitors and oversees complex operations and serves as the acting Warden in his / her absence. The incumbent will serve as administrator of a multi-custody prison complex, which includes restrictive status housing. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and developing diverse groups of staff, progressive administrative experience in budget management, managing inmate populations, monitoring and directing unit operations, security, inmate programming, and physical plant operations. In collaboration with the Warden, the Deputy Warden of Operations is responsible for ensuring the prison applies modern correctional practices.

As a Behavioral Health Technician 1, you’ll: Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site. Supervise patient’s daily living, social skills, and money management. Communicate with patients in various situations as directed by a supervisor. Provide patient care and support. Document patient care and implement treatment plans under general supervision. Respond to medical and psychiatric codes and intervene pro-actively using approved techniques. Assist with maintaining an environment that supports patient rights. Work in a 24/7 controlled medical/behavioral health facility under the direction of the Lead. This role monitors and accurately documents patient activities and changes in behavior, mood, physical or psychological status following current policy. The BHT 1 alerts the charge nurse of any identified changes in physical or psychological status of the patients. The individual in this role will escort patients to clinical referrals and outings, and will also respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies, using approved interventions per hospital policy. The BHT 1 will maintain safety and security for patients and staff while assisting with orienting patients and new staff to the unit. This position offers weekend differential, and shift differential along with a comprehensive benefit package.
