Louisiana Delta Community College is seeking a creative and effective faculty member to plan, develop, and use effective teaching methods and materials to help students meet course objectives in the discipline of Biological and Agricultural Sciences. This faculty position is responsible for teaching: Environmental Science, Soil Science, Horticulture, Botany lecture and laboratory, Zoology, Pathophysiology, General Biology for science majors and non-science majors, and all associated biological and agricultural laboratories. Laboratory development and inventory management, acquisition of supplies and maintenance of cultures necessary for instruction are major responsibilities associated with this faculty position. Traditional full-semester courses, accelerated courses, and online lectures and labs offer students a variety of learning options. Faculty are expected to teach all lecture and laboratory formats including both online virtual and face to face courses and labs. Faculty must be able to effectively instruct students using a variety of techniques and measure student success by evaluating student learning outcomes for program assessments.

The Instructor, Utility Locating, will teach assignments approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation, and outlined by the Program Manager or Director, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, and the Vice President, Economic and Workforce Development. Duties include but are not limited to delivering curriculum content via classroom/practical settings, preparing course outlines and objectives, evaluating courses offered, recruiting, and advising students, serving on college committees as assigned, and assuming responsibility for equipment and facilities; other duties may be assigned as needed. Schedules may consist of day, evening, and weekend classes.
