The Director of Communications , under the supervision of the Chief Communications, Advancement, and Strategic Initiatives Officer, is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and measuring Delgado Community College’s external and internal marketing, communications, public and media relations strategies. Provide communication support for fundraising, alumni relations, and other development/advancement activities. The Director will chair the College’s Marketing Committee and collaborate with the Chancellor’s Office, Academic Affairs, Workforce Development, and the College’s Enrollment Management Committees on all college marketing and communications strategies. The Director ensures policy and process alignment, guides brand awareness, increases visibility and supports efforts to drive enrollment to the college both on campus and online. The position leads and coordinates the strategic and tactical tasks and activities of the Office of Communications and Marketing including media and public relations, creative and graphic design, digital and social media, web design and management, photography, radio, podcast, and video production. The Director also initiates, directs, and manages and ensures alignment of all college-wide marketing and public relations activities' including management and oversight of outsource public relations and marketing activities. With the Chancellor, College Research Manager, and the Chief Communications, Advancement, and Strategic Initiatives Officer, establish base-line performance indicators to include quarterly updates that inform ongoing college program marketing strategies. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Chief Communications, Advancement, and Strategic Initiatives Officer.
