Senior Restricted Funds and Travel Accountant in Baton Rouge, LA
The purpose of this position is to maintain the accounting ledgers of the college's grants, sponsored programs, restricted funds, and to timely audit and reconcile travel expense accounts. The responsibilities of the Sr. Restricted Funds Accountant and Travel Administrator includes, but is not limited to, ensuring compliance with the funding sources' administrative guidelines, timely receipt of revenues, accurate submission of financial reports, orderly closure of projects; and to process, review, and strictly audit employee travel for the entire college to ensure compliance with state travel PPM49 guidelines. This position also serves as a Program Administrator for the college’s CBA, Travel and Purchasing Cards. The Travel Administrator must demonstrate a senior level understanding of state travel regulations, policies and procedures. This role involves oversight of travel compliance requirements and requires exceptional attention to detail. This position will report directly to the Controller of Finance and Accounting.
