      Computer Networking, Programming, and Information Technology Instructor in New Orleans, LA

      The instructor will present specific Computer Networking, Programming, and Information Technology course content covering both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science, with a focus on networking, programming, and IT principles with summary assessment of student ability to retain and apply the information in an academic setting. An instructor is responsible for classroom preparation for lectures and labs, proctoring of exams, advising students, and registration. Instructors are also required to serve on College committees. Instructors may be required to mentor and advise new faculty. Instructors are required to be available to teach at all Delgado sites and to teach at all scheduled times Delgado offers courses. The instructor will adhere to all duties as described in the, “Workload Requirements for Full-Time Faculty”, “Job Descriptions for Instructional Faculty”, “Faculty Responsibilities Beyond the Classroom”, “Responsibilities of Faculty Regarding Classroom Expectations, Instructional Minutes, and Evaluation of Instruction and/or Other Responsibilities”, and “Responsibilities of Faculty Regarding Evaluation of Students” policies of Delgado Community College.

      This position teaches college-level criminal justice lecture and lab courses. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, moderating classroom discussions, and administering and grading examinations. Maintains accurate grade and attendance records.
