      Assistant Professor, U.S. in the World in Stanford University

      The Department of History at Stanford University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in United States history with a focus on the United States’ international engagements during the 20th and 21st centuries. Candidates who utilize transnational, international, or global history perspectives and work with multiple languages and non-U.S. resources are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should exhibit evidence of scholarly originality and distinction, as well as a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment and will be expected to teach and advise students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The term of appointment is expected to begin on September 1, 2027.
