This includes the areas of food production, service and sanitation which are located on the UT Medical Center. The director is responsible for multiple site operations, from catering, purchasing and receiving food and supplies, to diet office operations and the provision of therapeutically correct diets to patients in accordance with physician orders. The Director is also responsible for planning, organizing, directing, training, and staffing the departments, providing quality meals service and university quality customer service to patients, students, staff, employees, and visitors.
