As a SCADstory shop and operations coordinator, you will work alongside a SCADstory boutique operations manager, a SCADstory operations manager, and an assistant operations manager to provide daily operational support and superior customer service that enhances the university's image. You will model policies and regulations for student docents, assist in the training and supervision of energetic student staff, and allocate tasks to personnel. Responsibilities include inventory management and purchases, as well as the generation of business reports. Additionally, you will ensure that staff understand how to use the POS system, execute start-of-day and end-of-day procedures, and schedule staff according to university and student employment regulations.

In this role, you will maintain the boutique's functionality, cleanliness, and sanitization. Among other duties, you will accurately register and check in guests and assist with events. Responsibilities include positively engaging with visitors to share information about the university’s history, mission and vision, awards and recognitions, events, resources, educational opportunities, and admission process.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage easily with guests. They are also personable and adaptable when collaborating with faculty, staff, and institutional stakeholders to promote awareness and enhance SCAD’s positive reputation with the general public.  

Minimum qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree or at least one year of related experience and training; equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, during important initiatives
• Familiar with store operations and POS/inventory control software and hardware
