CDs lead student staff in developing community within a residence hall, building relationships with individual students, and educating students and staff. CDs manage all aspects of their assigned area, including staffing, engagement planning, and maintenance. Through their interactions and day-to-day work, CDs serve as educators, resources, and referral agents. The position is responsible for the overall management of a residential community, including supervision of student staff, implementing SCAD based programming, and supporting students overall success. The position resolves student concerns and answers questions, as well as serves in the on-call rotation and as a student conduct hearing officer.
