Full-Time Lecturer ( Forensics) in Ypsilanti
The EMU School of Communication, Media & Theatre Arts request a Full-time Lecturer Position for Assistant Director of Forensics. The Assistant Director of Eastern Michigan University’s nationally ranked Forensic Team would be responsible for assisting the Director of Forensics and would teach courses every semester in the area of their expertise. This position will coach a team of approximately 20-30 undergraduate competitors and assist the Director of Forensics with ensuring the mental, physical, and academic well-being of all competitors on the team. In addition, they will work with maintaining the budget, travel planning, help meet competitive deadlines, and set entries for individual tournaments throughout the academic year. They will also assist the Director of Forensics in hosting at least one collegiate tournament at EMU every year as well as certain team-related social gatherings, as needed. The desired candidate will have at minimum a Master’s degree in Communication or Theatre Arts, have experience coaching a collegiate forensics team and have experience teaching at the college level. The candidate is required to have a valid US Driver’s license.
