  • Assistant Professor - Adult Clinical Psychology in Ypsilanti

    EMU is recruiting for a full-time tenure-track faculty position specializing in adult clinical psychology beginning August 2026. Candidates must have completed an APA-approved doctoral program in clinical psychology and be eligible for licensure in Michigan within one year. Candidates who can supervise student-clinicians seeing cases across adulthood are also encouraged to apply. Faculty who are actively involved in doctoral mentoring receive a reduced teaching load of six credits (approximately two courses) per semester. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in department and university-level committees and establish a research program with student participation at all levels. This position is for an eight-month academic year, tenure-track appointment in the Department of Psychology within the College of Arts and Sciences.

  • Assistant Professor - Neurobiology in Ypsilanti

    The Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in neurobiology at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2026. We seek an individual with a Ph.D., postdoctoral research experience in neurobiology, and who demonstrates the ability to teach at the college level.   • Assistant Professor (College Counseling) in Ypsilanti

    Eastern Michigan University’s Department of Leadership and Counseling (LDCN) in the College of Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in College Counseling. This position is part of a university-wide interdisciplinary cluster hire focused on the mental health and well-being of college students. This position will work in collaboration with faculty from, but not limited to, Social Work, Student Affairs, Public Health, Sociology, Nursing, Psychology, and Occupational Therapy, as well as practitioners in the field, to form the College Student Mental Health Research Collaborative. The collaborative will develop a research agenda that can inform practice and institutional policy formation related to mental health and well-being. The department offers CACREP-accredited master’s degree programs in college counseling and student affairs, school counseling, and clinical mental health counseling. These programs are committed to developing professional counselors who actively promote the well-being of individuals, institutions, and communities through the application of knowledge and skills, enhancing the diversity, dignity, and development of the clients and communities they serve. We operate an in-house Counseling Training Clinic, open to the community, as well as a School-Based Counseling Training Clinic that serves several local schools.
