Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC) invites applications for the position of Chief Academic Affairs Officer (CAO). Reporting to the President/CEO, the CAO serves as the College’s senior academic leader, providing strategic vision, leadership, and administrative oversight for Academic Affairs across a multi‑campus institution. The CAO is expected to be a collaborative leader who values transparency, accountability, shared governance, and innovation aligned with the mission of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). SKCTC is a comprehensive, multi‑campus college within KCTCS serving the Appalachian region of Southeastern Kentucky through campuses in Cumberland, Harlan, Knox (Barbourville), Middlesboro, Pineville, and Whitesburg. The College offers accessible, high‑quality education supporting university transfer, workforce training, and regional economic development. Academic programs reflect regional workforce needs, including healthcare, transportation, advanced manufacturing, skilled trades, and transfer pathways. Many students balance education with work and family responsibilities. The College maintains a relationship‑focused culture that emphasizes collaboration with local employers, school districts, community organizations, and regional partners. Leaders are expected to be engaged, adaptable, and visible across campuses and communities.
