The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Security Architect.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization maintains robust security architecture standards and compliance across all operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating agencies and suppliers on updates to security standards, documenting core policies and guidelines, and providing expert guidance on regulatory impacts. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the security standard exception process, evaluating new products and services for security implications, and collaborating closely with service lifecycle management teams to ensure adherence to security standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive experience in security architecture, compliance, or a related field.

Strong understanding of federal, state, and industry regulations impacting security practices.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and collaborate effectively.

Proven ability to analyze processes, propose improvements, and implement solutions.

Proficiency in security tools, Agile methodologies, and collaborative platforms

Additional Considerations

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.
