Job Duties
This position is an integral part of the Risk and Quality Management department and offers growth potential for the right candidate. As a member of the team, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will provide performance improvement services to the organization including, leading, consulting, and supporting continuous improvement activities, initiatives, and programs. They will be charged with using process and performance improvement methods, tools, and techniques to analyze data and processes. The incumbent will incorporate best practices and learning into innovative solutions to address organization improvement challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
• Have a strong background in a healthcare environment, particularly in Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management
• demonstrate knowledge of performance improvement principles, methodologies, and evaluation and Federal healthcare program requirements.
• Demonstrate progressive experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing and presenting data to support decisions and effectuate change.
• Have extensive experience with researching, interpretation and application of healthcare standards, rules, and regulations of accrediting agencies as applicable to the facility.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office products, including intermediate and advance Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Additional Considerations
• Bachelors’ degree in a healthcare related field
• Background in auditing, survey preparation
• Proven success with CMS/TJC standards and internal audits, or similar accreditation bodies
• Demonstrated experience in reporting writing and presentations
• Ability to work independently, organize, plan and prioritize work assignments
• ADA certification preferred or completion within 6 months of hire.
