Job Duties

The position provides support to the Human Resources Manager and agency staff in services including talent acquisition, compensation and classification, benefits and leave administration, employee relations/performance management, and front-line consultation, training and guidance to perspective and current employees on a wide range of HR topics.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of HR management policies, procedures, and laws, particularly related to recruitment and selection (R/S), compensation and classification (C/C), leave administration, payroll transactions, benefits, workers' compensation, and employee relations.
• Excellent customer service and oral/written communication skills; computer proficiency using current standard office applications and automated HR information systems applications.
• Ability and experience creating and conducting presentations and training, in person or virtually; to partner with internal staff, in all agency areas and levels, to best serve internal and external customers, and develop external relationships to advance the goals of HR and the agency; and to perform with a high level of integrity, trust, and responsiveness to deliver “Best in Class” customer service to internal and external clients.

Additional Considerations

• Experience with full life cycle R/S principles and practices; C/C principles and practices; employee relations, and the full slate of employee benefit and leave programs.
• Experience with related Commonwealth's systems such as Cardinal, PageUp, VNAV, etc.
