Job Duties
Intelligence Analyst Senior - Counterterrorism performs work researching, evaluating, and disseminating international terrorism, domestic terrorism, and precursor crime intelligence information to support prevention and response efforts for terrorism and criminal activity; conducting analysis of multi-faceted data in order to show methods, trends, and patterns relating to the relating to extremists, terrorism financing, the Middle East, domestic and foreign terrorist organizations, other terrorism related matters and threats to government officials/predictive behavior.
The employee in this position is aware of and is proactive in ensuring a strong internal control environment to include; potential risks are reduced or communicated to management; data and reports are accurate and reliable; department assets are safeguarded to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized use or misappropriation; department objectives are achieved by maximizing operation efficiency and effectiveness; and applicable laws, regulations and policies are consistently followed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of research and analysis techniques.
- Skill in the use of a personal computer and of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, summarize, interpret and communicate
information and technical data.
- Ability conduct research with relevant databases to provide assessments within the scope
of assigned duties.
- Apply critical thinking to diverse information sets and to produce logic-based analysis and
recommendations on probable and potential trends and event outcomes.
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete files.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of
personnel and representatives of other government agencies and organizations.
Additional Considerations
- Analytic experience in the intelligence community, emergency management, or public
safety field is highly preferred.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience in homeland security, public safety,
emergency management, or related discipline is preferred.

The salary for this position is negotiable up to the maximum hiring range listed in this posting. Offers will not be made outside of the hiring range. This is a restricted position due to the funding source.
