This position plays a vital part in upholding state and federal Safe Drinking Water Act requirements through inspections and monitoring that support public health. As an Environmental Specialist Sr, you will provide technical assistance to groundwater-based waterworks, conduct inspections and sanitary surveys, interpret regulations for waterworks owners and operators, and guide systems in maintaining or returning to compliance. You will also train operators on proper operation and maintenance practices and offer clear, accessible information to the public about drinking water quality.
