The instructor is responsible for performing assigned teaching duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. Supports the program coordinator to help assure effective program operation. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, administration, and review of the effectiveness of the clinical experiences. The Clinical Coordinator assigns students to clinical sites, ensures facility onboarding requirements are satisfactorily met prior to the start of rotations, maintains clinic-related documentation, and verifies students’ clinical performance. The Clinical Coordinator serves as the point of contact for the clinic sites. The Clinical Coordinator will foster positive, professional relations with existing sites and cultivate new clinical sites. In order to achieve this goal, it is expected that the Clinical Coordinator will maintain consistent communication with clinical trainers and make regular visits to the sites where students are being trained. The Clinical Coordinator also teaches in the classroom and laboratory and participates in college activities. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations.
