Anatomy & Physiology Instructor TCAT - McMinnville Campus Title: Anatomy & Physiology Instructor Classification: Part-time adjunct faculty Office Location: TCAT - McMinnville, 241 Vo Tech Dr., McMinnville, TN 37110 (transitioning to Coffee County Campus) Hours: 80 hours/trimester Supervises: n/a Reports to: Nursing Coordinator Salary: $35/hour Minimum Qualifications: • Coursework in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution • Minimum of three years’ professional teaching experience in Anatomy & Physiology or related discipline. • Strong knowledge of human body systems, physiology, and related laboratory practices. • Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction. • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students. • Commitment to student success and workforce preparation. • Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license. General Duties: This adjunct instructional position will provide high-quality, competency-based instruction in Anatomy & Physiology to prepare students for careers in healthcare and related fields. Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions: • Deliver engaging lectures and demonstration sessions in accordance with the program curriculum and guidelines. • Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments. • Evaluate and record student performance, maintaining accurate attendance and grade records. • Maintain current knowledge of trends and developments in Anatomy & Physiology and related healthcare fields. • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students. • Collaborate with faculty and administration to improve instructional quality and student learning outcomes. • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom. • Contribute to program accreditation efforts and institutional assessment activities. • Maintain confidentiality of student records and institutional information. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Coordinator. Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA Requirements): • Standing, walking, and demonstration in a classroom setting. • Lifting and moving instructional equipment, materials, and supplies (up to 40 lbs). • Operating a motor vehicle for travel within the college service area. Background checks will be completed on all new hires. Instructors will be asked to sign a background release authorizing TCAT - McMinnville to complete a background check which will include the following: Sex Offender Registry, County Criminal & Federal Criminal. Physical Demands and Working Conditions (ADA REQUIREMENTS) • Heavy use of a computer • Normal standing, sitting, and walking • Lifting of boxes weighing approximately 40 pounds or less • Operating a motor vehicle to travel within the college service area and in other areas as needed Employment Documents: Current federal law requires identification and eligibility verification prior to employment.
