Program Director, Emergency Medical Services in Columbia
A full-time faculty is responsible for delivering instruction in various formats (on-line, in person, video-conferencing, or any combination of methods), in the discipline(s) for which she/he has been employed. Instruction may take place at any of the college’s campuses, at a clinical partner facility, or at a designated temporary location. Faculty also provide academic advising and facilitate student success. Technology tools are routinely used to communicate with and support students. Faculty accepting the appointment of program directors have certain administrative responsibilities in addition to their faculty responsibilities.

Part-Time: Academic Support for Students with Disabilities in Memphis
This is a part-time position funded by Project MOST. This position is not for any currently enrolled Southwest Tennessee Community College students. The part-time advocate is integrated into the Center for Access to assist staff with supporting students with disabilities at Southwest. The advocate will assist with daily activities for the Center for Access Office. Duties include but are not limited to: notetaking, scribing, reading exams, and planning/assisting with LEAD organization activities. Advocate may assist in Center for Access new/renewal intake sessions. Maintain assigned caseload of Center for Access registrants. Must have dependable transportation to travel to all campuses/centers as needed. Advocates will work a maximum of 25 hours per week. The is an in-person role and any virtual hours will be left to the discretion of the department head.

Math faculty help students advance their math skills in preparation for working in professional environments, furthering academic study, and developing careers. The teaching assignment may include online classes, virtual classes, day and evening classes, and teaching at off-campus locations, and the faculty member is responsible for the success of the teaching and learning process within the classroom. Other responsibilities include student advising, professional development, service on committees, curriculum development, participation in campus and system-wide initiatives, learning new instructional technologies and modalities, assessment, and collaborative work with faculty and staff.
