      Nursing Instructor-Henry County 12 month in Paris

      This is a full-time, fiscal year position reporting to the Dean of Health Sciences and assumes Nursing programmatic instructional activities for the needs and demands of the DSCC Nursing Department. This position has a focus for the Dyersburg State Community College Henry County Center; however, official workstation may change from campus and center dependent upon needs and demands of the Nursing Departments. Duties include working with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Faculty for coordination of student classroom and clinical field experiences. This position will have the responsibility of coordinating and maintaining the activities of the Nursing Program at the DSCC Henry County Center. This position is pending grant approval.

    • Instructor of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Education 9/10 Month (Term) in Gallatin

      This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in multiple instructional delivery formats and participating in evaluation of student learning and assessment of course and program outcomes. Faculty will participate in service activities to support the College’s mission. The EMS Education instructor works under the supervision of the Director of EMS Education. The instructor participates in the assessment, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of program curriculum. The instructor conducts classroom, skills lab, and online instruction for EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic courses. The instructor coordinates student advising and associated clinical site management for the Emergency Medical Services Education Program.

      The part-time Practical Nursing Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab settings and at off-campus clinical sites; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other duties as assigned. This part-time position will average 18-28 hours (3-4 days) per week Monday through Friday and is not eligible for benefits. Pellissippi State’s noncredit lifelong learning program offers personal enrichment classes for the community with a wide range of topics, including: fitness, languages, musical instruments, arts and crafts, wellness, history, and more. Class participants are community members ages 18+. Some of the many benefits of teaching a lifelong learning class include working with engaged and enthusiastic adult learners and flexible class scheduling. Our noncredit class schedule is released twice a year: spring/summer and fall. Classes can be as short as 90 minutes or up to 20 hours in length.
