Adjunct Faculty-Mechatronics in Clinton
Roane State Community College is inviting applications for qualified candidates for an adjunct faculty position in our Mechatronics Program. The successful candidate will teach a combination of Mechatronics classes including introductory classes in electrical circuits, hydraulics/pneumatics, mechanical systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), as well as advanced classes in statics/dynamics, robotics, PLCs, and automated production technologies. Classes are taught both in daytime and evening classes at our Clinton Facility and at the Harriman Campus. Some classes may be located at area high schools. The appointment is expected to begin in August 2024.

This is a full-time, fiscal year position working under direct supervision of the Police Supervisor (Captain) and general supervision of the Associate Director of Public Safety. The Police Officer 1 investigates crimes and accidents, protecting faculty, staff, students, visitors, and property, facilities by law enforcement. He/she responds to calls for assistance including emergency crisis situations and provides other safety related services. He/she must be flexible to work different shifts if and when deemed necessary.
