This is a full-time, grant-funded position within the Department of Advising and Academic Support. The position is funded through the Title III IDEAS Grant. The Relational Advisor (RA) will provide academic guidance and advisement to students on policies, procedures, and program requirements to fulfill a certificate or degree program and will proactively participate in the planning and delivery of academic advising services for students and subpopulations that promote comprehensive educational opportunities. The RA maintains student engagement and academic progression by tracking the advancement of students from inception to graduation. Additional hours may be required. Some travel may be required between campus locations.

The Strategist will also be responsible for the development and implementation of regional workforce development projects resulting from TNWORKS. This includes researching new programs and partnerships and leading strategic sessions to engage regional colleges in these opportunities. This position may have the opportunity to work remote within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville, TN) at the employee’s expense, and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary.
