Associate Instructor -- LPN Program in Chattanooga
Full-time, 12-month faculty employee contract -The normal workweek requires a five-day workweek and includes a minimum of 37.5 hours per week at an approved campus work site for instruction, office hours, and community and college service. Instructors are responsible for teaching students in our training programs in classroom, hands-on lab settings, and clinical, ensuring that they gain the knowledge and skills that are required for entry-level employment in their chosen field. Instructors are also responsible for sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. Instructors will also manage their classroom environment and promote a positive and engaging learning experience, provide support, tutoring and other assistance as needed. Instructors are to “model" the professional behaviors, language, and activities expected of our students.

Faculty - Technologies (Artificial Intelligence) in Memphis
Southwest Tennessee Community College is in the process of developing and launching a new Artificial Intelligence Technology program. As a result, this position will play an important role in supporting early-stage curriculum development, program planning, and implementation, in addition to teaching responsibilities. This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) appointment faculty position reporting to the Department Chair of Technologies. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related academic activities in the assigned discipline. Teaching responsibilities include foundational and advanced Artificial Intelligence topics such as Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence tools and frameworks, neural networks, and ethical considerations in AI. Primary responsibilities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The faculty member plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the Artificial Intelligence curriculum and integrating hands-on, applied learning experiences into the program. The faculty member is expected to perform assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus, as assigned. At a minimum, related faculty responsibilities include instruction, academic advising and mentoring, serving on departmental and college committees, and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. In addition to standard faculty responsibilities, this position includes assigned program coordination duties for the Artificial Intelligence Technology program as part of the faculty teaching load.
