Purpose of Position
To conduct flight training for students enrolled in flight labs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct student flight and ground training with students.
- Maintain student records.
- Duties will depend on which level the applicant is hired for and on the certifications of the applicant.
Minimum Requirements
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate & Instrument Rating
- Flight Instructor Certificate or enrolled in AVIT 440
- 190 total helicopter hours
- Current Class II FAA Medical Certificate
- Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior UND work experience.
- Active within the UND Aerospace student body.
- Class II FAA Medical.
- Robinson Safety Course within the previous 12 months.
