Salary/Position Classification

• $58,800+ annual, Exempt
• 40 hours per week
• Hybrid Work Availability: After successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, up to 2 days of remote work per week may be considered.

Purpose of Position

The Software Developer is responsible for building multimedia training software and applications for various target platforms. Primary responsibilities will be to implement project functionality, translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging experience. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

•  Software Development:
  • Work as part of a team using contemporary programming tools and languages to produce interactive, multimedia training software and applications.
  • Participate in designing multimedia software applications and produce program code for those designs.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of all materials.
  • Stay current with the latest software development trends, techniques, and software. 
•  Documentation and records:
  • Track and record hours worked on each project,
  • Maintain other documentation as necessary for duties and responsibilities outlined above.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; or an Associate degree and three years of directly related work experience.
• A portfolio of work must be provided at or before an interview.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Visual design skills and experience, including 2D/3D illustration/modeling & animation.
• Virtual/augmented/mixed reality development experience.
• Mobile application development experience.
• Instructional design and aviation experience.
