Off-Campus Life Community Assistant - IE in Harrisonburg
Off-Campus Life (OCL) student Community Assistants provide front-line customer service both in the OCL office and in The Pantry, answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in guests. Community Assistants help students navigate the transition process of moving into the Harrisonburg community by informing them of available resources and educating them on best practices. Community Assistants also help create a welcoming environment in The Pantry, a free food resource for students experiencing food insecurity, while maintaining inventory and upkeep of the space. Additionally, our Community Assistants help with several programs throughout the year to help build community for our off-campus and commuter student population and to help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to make informed decisions in their off-campus communities.

Disability Services Graduate Assistant - Marketing and Communication in Harrisonburg
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate for the Marketing and Communications Graduate Assistantship. This role supports the unit’s marketing efforts by managing and creating content for social media, maintaining the ODS website, and advertising events. As a member of the ODS team, the chosen candidate will assist in enhancing accessibility and fostering a sense of belonging for people with disabilities through marketing and communications efforts. The Marketing and Communications Graduate Assistant will work approximately 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The assistantship provides 18 hours of tuition support for the school year (9 hours per semester) and a stipend of $10,001 for the 2025/2026 school year.
