James Madison University’s Facilities Management department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Shift Housekeeping Assistant Manager. This position is scheduled Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with occasional required overtime. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service across campus facilities. The Office of Fixed Assets and Surplus Property at James Madison University is accepting applications for a part-time Computer Surplus Specialist. This is a part-time wage position with a flexible working schedule, working up to 29 hours per week. Work is conducted Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm. The Computer Surplus Specialist is responsible for picking up surplus computer equipment from various locations on campus, updating departmental databases, and processing equipment for recycling or re-issue. The Dean of Students Case Manager is primarily responsible to support the students who are referred to Madison Cares and are at a low level of concern (students do not appear to pose threat of harm to self/others, nor significant disruption, but may need resources). The Case Manager will also provide significant support to students who have withdrawn from JMU by partnering with the Office of the Registrar to send emails and call students who have questions regarding the withdrawal process and may need support regarding re-entry.

Orientation Operations Assistant for Summer 2026 (Student) - IE in Harrisonburg

For current JMU students only. The Office of Orientation and Transition is pleased to announce openings for Spring/Summer 2026 for Orientation Operations Assistants. The hired students will work daytime office hours that will fluctuate from 10 to 36 hours as needed. Position is on campus, in Harrisonburg, during the summer, so the applicant should have valid housing and transportation. There are two vacation weeks provided, typically one in May and one in August. Applicant must be transparent about any classes, asynchronous or otherwise, that they are taking during any portion of the summer. A copy of the Spring '26 class schedule will be requested if the applicant is asked to interview.
