      Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES) at James Madison University is accepting applications for part-time OT positions in our pediatric outpatient therapy clinic. OTCES employs part-time Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapist Assistants to provide weekly treatment sessions to pediatric clients. As a part-time clinician, your case load will be determined by your availability and client’s schedules.     • Teaching Post Doctoral Associate (Two Positions) - Department of Engineering in Harrisonburg

      The Department of Engineering at James Madison University (JMU) invites applications for two teaching post-doctoral associates. This opportunity combines instructional experience, mentorship, and professional development to enable candidates to develop their pedagogical skills and a robust scholarship program in an undergraduate engineering context. Post-doctoral associates will teach within the Engineering curriculum while receiving individual mentorship from JMU faculty and will be provided opportunities to develop their own professional portfolio. This is a fixed-term appointment at the rank of instructor. The appointment is for two 10-month periods, the first 10-month period will start August 10th, 2026, and the second 10-month period will start in August 2027. In the first period, associates will teach within the engineering fundamentals and design courses (ENGR 112, 231, and 232) and will work with an instructional team to enhance their instructional approaches and methods. In the second 10-month period, associates will have the opportunity to expand their experiences through opportunities such as: teaching upper-level courses, developing special topics courses, supervising undergraduate research or mentoring capstone projects. The specifics will be tailored to the individual and needs of the department, in consultation with the Academic Unit Head and their mentors.

      The Sport and Recreation Leadership master’s degree program invites applications for a 20 hour/week graduate assistantship working with Rockingham County Public Schools for AY 2026-2027. The primary focus of this will be to work hand in hand with the East Rockingham Activities Director to facilitate day to day tasks including scheduling, event management, eligibility checks, purchasing of equipment, and all other tasks needed to provide an exceptional activities/athletic experience for RCPS students. Graduate assistantships include enrollment in the Sport and Recreation graduate program (Sport & Recreation concentration, preferred) and involve 20 hours of work per week at Rockingham County Public Schools (East Rockingham High School) during the academic school year. Graduate assistants will begin work prior to the start of the school year (August 10, 2026); the position continues through the end of the academic year the following May (May 13, 2027). The position includes a stipend and a tuition waiver.

      The Department of Engineering at James Madison University (JMU) invites applicants to join our community and support our project-intensive undergraduate engineering curriculum. We are seeking to hire at least one Visiting Lecturer to start in August 2026. The position will be for an initial ten-month period; there may be the possibility of a subsequent one-time renewal. The JMU Department of Engineering is a community of educators committed to contributing to a welcoming scholarly environment, who support each other in achieving broad success in teaching, scholarship, and service. The department offers an ABET-accredited BS degree in engineering with new concentrations in civil and environmental, geo-environmental, and electromechanical systems. Anchored in the liberal arts through the university’s general education program, JMU’s engineering major is characterized by experiential learning of engineering in team-based settings, and the major culminates in a two-year-long engineering project experience.
