    JMU’s School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE) fosters learning across lifespans through transformative education and enrichment. SPCE offers a range of programs, including youth camps, adult degree completion, professional and workforce development, and lifelong learning, as well as partners with academic units across JMU to support a number of online or off-campus degree and certificate programs. This full-time program coordinator role supports the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) within SPCE.

  • OAG Student Engagement Specialist - IE in Harrisonburg

    The Office of Annual Giving (OAG) is seeking outstanding students to join our office team. Our mission is to connect donors, parents, students, and alumni with the university they love! As a Student Engagement Specialist, you'll utilize a variety of communication channels, including phone, text, email, video, and print, to engage with our community and support university initiatives. Student Engagement Specialists must be good listeners, team-oriented, have great phone voice clarity, and be comfortable speaking on the phone. They must be passionate about JMU and eager to make a positive impact. Student Engagement Specialists, in collaboration with Annual Giving staff, will support and engage with student organizations on projects to promote values and goals that align with current students at JMU. Student Engagement Specialists are expected to work 2-3 shifts per week, 9 hours total. Work will be at the Leeolou Alumni Center. Students may need to move around campus as needed. The position begins June 1st, with the possibility of working through the calendar year.

    James Madison University (JMU) Office of Alumni Relations is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant. This is a two-year position, August-May, contingent on performance and academic program requirements. The position includes 12 tuition credits per semester (fall and spring). A stipend will be provided per semester. The candidate will work approximately 20 hours per week. Potential to work some nights and weekends. The candidate must be in the process of obtaining a master’s degree at James Madison University and possess a strong desire to contribute to the planning and execution of alumni-related events, with a focus on reunion programming. Successful candidates should possess strong project management skills, proven interpersonal and organizational skills, and experience with event management, as well as a strong commitment to customer service and professional communication.
