Assistant Professor in Computing Applied to Energy or Manufacturing (Two Positions) in Harrisonburg
The Integrated Science and Technology (ISAT) program within the School of Integrated Sciences (SIS) at James Madison University invites applications for two tenure-track or renewable term appointments (RTA) positions, at the Assistant Professor rank, to begin August 2025. SIS is home to undergraduate majors in ISAT, Geography, and Intelligence Analysis; a Cyber Intelligence certificate program; and an international Master of Science in ISAT program with a concentration in Environmental Management and Sustainability. ISAT also supports multiple environmental minors and a Global Supply Chain Minor in partnership with the College of Business. This search aims to expand applied computing and AI technologies across the School of Integrated Sciences and is part of a broader SIS-wide hiring initiative with the theme “Technology for Resilient Futures.” We seek colleagues with expertise in programming in Python, relational databases and SQL, machine learning and data science, and data visualization as they apply to sociotechnical systems in energy and manufacturing. The ISAT Program is an ABET-accredited, multidisciplinary, applied science program with roughly 300 undergraduate majors. ISAT prepares graduates with modern problem-solving skills through the strategic integration of technology, natural and social sciences, humanities, and systems thinking. Students in the ISAT program declare a concentration in one of six areas: Applied Biotechnology, Applied Computing, Energy, Environment & Sustainability, Industrial & Manufacturing Systems, or Public Interest Technology & Science. Occupational Therapist Pool (PRN/Part-Time) in Harrisonburg
James Madison University Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES) is accepting applications on a continual basis for part-time OT positions in our pediatric outpatient therapy clinic. OTCES hires from the Occupational Therapist Pool on an "as needed" basis depending on departmental needs. Applicants of interest will be contacted as positions become available. Schedule may flex from 2 to 29 hours per week, depending on client caseload and applicants' availability. These are part-time wage positions with no benefits that cannot exceed 1,500 hours over the course of a calendar year.

Youth Development Specialist - IE in Harrisonburg
The position is responsible for supporting the development of diverse middle and high school students' interest and potential for working in healthcare fields and professions through planning, development, implementation, and monitoring program efforts across statewide project sites. An ability to model inclusive and nondiscriminatory practices in all activities is required. Through collaboration with the project team, health professionals, school officials, community members, and community professionals, the position assists youth in learning about healthcare positions and assists participants in completing the community health worker apprentice modules. Creating a positive youth health development program requires learning module content, providing group engagement, mentoring/modeling, working with families, evaluating programming, tracking outcomes, and completing reports. This project will provide extensive orientation to support the success of those selected for these position(s).

Geospatial Semester Mentor in Harrisonburg
JMU’s School of Professional & Continuing Education collaborates with individuals, business, and communities through transformative educational programs and experiences. SPCE offers a range of programs, including youth camps, adult degree completion, professional and workforce development, and lifelong learning, as well as partners with academic units across JMU to support a number of online or off-campus degree and certificate programs. SPCE partners with the College of Integrated Science and Engineering to offer a state-wide dual enrollment program called the Geospatial Semester, which trains high school students and their teachers in spatial thinking and geospatial technologies. This part-time stipend position will support high schools specifically in the Northern Virginia area. This position's assignment runs through the school year ending in May 2025. During the assignment, the position will work around 10 hours a week.
