Adolescent Health Educator (11-Month Position) in Harrisonburg
Adolescent Health Educators are responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and implementation of the Personal Responsibility Education Program, funded by the Family Youth Services Bureau. The PREP program is a collaborative effort that emphasizes principles of positive youth development and optimal health emphasizing both abstinence and contraception and addressing the adulthood preparation subjects of healthy relationships, parent-child communication, educational and career success, healthy life skills, and adolescent development in order to significantly reduce the number of teen pregnancies in the Harrisonburg, Rockingham and Page County area of Virginia. Assistant Professor of Management, Organizational Behavior in Harrisonburg
The Department of Management in the College of Business at James Madison University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Management position to begin in Fall 2026. Advanced assistant professors are also encouraged to apply. The primary teaching responsibilities will be teaching undergraduate courses in organizational behavior, with a secondary teaching area in innovation, entrepreneurship, international business, consulting, or HR. About the Department: The Department of Management is an academic unit within the College of Business, comprising 22 full-time faculty members. The department has over 800 management majors in three concentrations (Management Consulting, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management), and the department supports the college by providing core business classes in Strategic Management, Interpersonal Skills, and Principles of Management. Departmental faculty members closely collaborate with the Gilliam Center for Entrepreneurship. The department places primary emphasis on its undergraduate programs that include engaging classroom experiences, business case studies, hands-on projects, and laboratory exercises designed to prepare graduates to work independently and in team-oriented environments. In addition to their high involvement in undergraduate education, departmental faculty members play a vital role in delivering the Executive Leadership MBA, Innovation MBA, and Information Security MBA programs. Outside the academic community, faculty members maintain strong connections with the business community in Shenandoah Valley, Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Washington, D.C., and interact regularly with members of the department’s advisory board.

Scientific Computing Specialist in Harrisonburg
The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) at James Madison University (JMU) is currently accepting applications for a Scientific Computing Specialist. This position aligns with the vision of JMU and the CSM Office of the Dean by providing technical, network, specialized software, and hardware support to the Departments of Chemistry & Biochemistry (CBC) and Physics & Astronomy (P&A). These Departments collectively employ 55 full-time faculty, 3 full-time staff, and 17 part-time faculty. CBC and P&A facilities include a dedicated computer lab, 11 teaching labs, and 13 research labs, 11 of which are equipped with specialized hardware and software requirements. These facilities are located in the Physics/Chemistry Building, Miller Hall, and Holland Yates Hall. The successful candidate will be part of a team of IT specialists within the college who collectively support faculty, staff, and students across the five academic units and college office. The successful candidate reports directly to the CSM Dean.
