The Shenandoah Valley Child Development Clinic is an interdisciplinary clinic that has been providing services to children and families from birth to 21 years of age for more than 40 years. The CDC is a grant funded program through the VA Department of Health. The clinic addresses concerns regarding education, behavior, health, emotions, development, and the parent-child relationship. We serve a broad range of clients that include foster children and high-risk families. The B.Sc. in Information Technology (IT) is one of the two undergraduate degrees offered by the Department of Computer Science (CS) at JMU. IT has a focus on computer networking, cyber security, web technologies, data science/machine learning and mobile development. The IT program accepted our first freshman class in Fall 2022, has more than 240+ students, and is rapidly growing. The IT major puts students in the middle of the IT revolution where they study the tools and methods deployed in the enterprise community in areas such as communication network, software defined network, information security and wireless networks. The JMU Computer Science Department is a dynamic and supportive community with 31 full-time faculty members and approximately 900 undergraduate students in the CS and IT majors. We also offer an online M.S. Degree in Computer Science concentration in Cyber-Security. Our supportive community is dedicated to maintaining a culture that balances excellence in teaching and small class sizes with opportunities for faculty and student research. Summer Admissions Intern - IE in Harrisonburg
The Office of Admissions is seeking reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic student representatives to intern with our office. Interns will give campus tours to prospective students and their guests. They will help in the day-to-day workings of the visitation program giving virtual panels and tours, front desk support, daily tours, and outreach to admitted and prospective students. Interns will work up to 20 hours per week. Tours are given in both morning and afternoon (June-Aug.) on Monday-Friday. Preference is given to those students available to work the entire duration of the summer, from June 2 – Aug. 8.

This position will report to the Director of Basketball Performance and will be responsible for assisting in the administration of a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for Men’s and Women’s basketball and Men and Women’s Golf. The Assistant Sports Performance Coach will work as a member of the Strength and Conditioning Department. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of communication and energy, outstanding interpersonal skills, and professionalism. This individual will manage and maintain the Strength and Performance room located within the Atlantic Union Bank Center. The ability to work and function as a member of the Integrated Health and Sports Performance team is also essential. This position is a part-time, 12-month position, which does not include benefits.

Off-Campus Life Community Assistant - IE in Harrisonburg
Off-Campus Life (OCL) student Community Assistants provide front-line customer service both in the OCL office and in The Pantry, answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in guests. Community Assistants help students navigate the transition process of moving into the Harrisonburg community by informing them of available resources and educating them on best practices. Community Assistants also help create a welcoming environment in The Pantry, a free food resource for students experiencing food insecurity, while maintaining inventory and upkeep of the space. Additionally, our Community Assistants help with several programs throughout the year to help build community for our off-campus and commuter student population and to help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to make informed decisions in their off-campus communities.
