      The Center for Anatomical Sciences in the Department of Physiology and Anatomy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNT Health) in Fort Worth, TX invites applications for two (2) tenure-track or tenured faculty positions to join our growing team of interdisciplinary faculty in the anatomical sciences. We seek two outstanding, broadly-trained anatomists whose research programs will complement our existing strengths in biological anthropology, evolutionary biology, forensic sciences, biomechanics/functional morphology, and histology. While the research area is open, applicants with programs in postcranial biomechanics are particularly encouraged to apply. Research laboratory space and competitive start-up funds are available. The Center encompasses 8,000-square-feet of anatomy laboratories that support anatomical education, research, and outreach. The Center also houses dedicated research laboratories equipped for medical imaging analysis/morphometrics, forensic anthropology, thermoregulatory studies (environmental chamber), histology, and paleontological fossil preparation. The new hires will contribute to lecture and cadaver-based laboratory instruction (both dissection and prosection) of human gross anatomy courses for osteopathic medical, physical therapy, physician assistant, and graduate students. Teaching experience in neuroanatomy, histology, and/or embryology is desirable but not required. Faculty may additionally develop graduate-level elective courses in their area of expertise. The hires will also be expected to mentor anatomy graduate students (MS, PhD). The anticipated start date is August 1, 2026 (or earlier).

      The UNTH Administration Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Generates reports and data from a variety of sources, including the practice EMR and payer websites, and analyzes the data to identify which patients have gaps in service or care. Designs and implements mechanisms to fulfill gaps in service, which may include letters, phone calls, social media communications, or other communication strategies. Work with clinic personnel and care givers to assure that care provided is appropriately documented. Assist with the generation of reports and information to the payers using formats and mechanisms required by each payer. Establishes and maintains relationships with payers related to patient care standards and reports. Tracks opportunities for additional revenue related to payer standards, and assures that patient care activities maximize those opportunities.
