This is an entry-level position that provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience, providing direct services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a research environment. Behavior Technicians complete a fully paid Comprehensive Training Program and work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Behavior Technicians implement 1:1 behavioral intervention programs with clients with ASD (18 months to adult), and are responsible for collecting data, conducting assessments, implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures, and documenting and reporting outcomes.

The successful candidate will have personal or professional experiences interacting with children or adolescents and has a passion for supporting learning and development of neurodiverse individuals. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has expertise in educational settings, intervention assistants are responsible for implementing skill building and behavior support plans, preparing/supporting classroom lessons, preparing learning materials, collecting data, and reporting learning outcomes. This position requires >9 months on-the-job training and supervision.

Orientation Intern- Parent Programs- Summer 2024 (Hourly) in Denton
The Office of Orientation and Transition Programs is a department within the Division of Student Affairs and provides new students, continuing students, and family members with the tools necessary to make a smooth transition to UNT and toward graduation. Interns in the office play an integral role in the success of programs by providing leadership to event organization, supervising student leaders, and completing projects related to the university’s goals. A major component of the internship is providing opportunities for the intern to practice communication with diverse constituent groups, demonstrate event planning skills, and increase their knowledge about a student’s transition into the university setting.
