Director, Technology, Innovation, Development, and Entrepreneurship (TIDE) Center in Dallas
The Director of the Technology, Innovation, Development, and Entrepreneurship (TIDE) Center at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is an 11-month position which will serve as the strategic and operational leader for the TIDE Center, one of the university’s key initiatives. The director will assist TIDE’s role as a convener of parties interested in advancing the Southern Dallas Region through technology, innovation, development, and entrepreneurship. These gatherings aim to identify opportunities and needs across these thematic areas that contribute to regional growth. TIDE will support workforce development, education, training, and applied research to meet the emerging business needs in our region. This will be accomplished through community involvement, education, and urban planning solutions. TIDE will achieve these goals through classroom-to-careers projects, consulting and research activities, and the development of curricular and extracurricular programs to foster the growth of the Southern Dallas area and the experiential learning of UNT Dallas students. The Director will advance the TIDE Center’s mission to foster innovation ecosystems, support an entrepreneurial culture, enhance the focus on future technologies, and build support for development happening around southern Dallas. This position requires a visionary leader capable of bridging theory and practice within higher education, industry, and community interests.
