At Story House Early Learning, we’re not just growing services, we’re creating inspiring environments where children and educators thrive. As our next National Facilities Coordinator, you’ll help bring that to life across our 50+ services by keeping things running smoothly, safely, and with care.
You’ll work closely with our National Facilities Manager to coordinate everything from scheduled maintenance to major refurbishments. You’ll help manage contractors, track budgets, and make sure our services meet all compliance standards, so our services can stay focused on what matters most: children.
This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that calls for someone who loves juggling multiple tasks, solving problems, and jumping in where needed. You’ll be based in our bright and modern Cannon Hill office (free parking, snack-filled kitchen, and always someone to share lunch with), with the option to work from home two days a week.
A Snapshot of What you’ll be Doing:
-
Supporting facility operations across all services, keeping things safe, functional, and compliant.
-
Helping plan and deliver renovations, fit-outs, and capital works.
-
Scheduling contractors for planned and emergency works, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
-
Building strong relationships with our service teams and external contractors.
-
Monitoring budgets, preparing reports, and tracking KPIs.
-
Rolling up your sleeves and travelling to services when needed (sometimes at short notice).
The Story House Vibe:
-
2 WFH days each week
- A snack-stocked kitchen, great coffee, and nearby cafés for your lunchtime fix.
-
Regular celebrations (yes, cake is involved).
- Catch-ups, birthday lunches, and spontaneous TikTok cameos.
-
A team that values inclusion, innovation, and great banter.
What you’ll Bring:
-
A background in facilities, property, or asset management (bonus points if you’ve managed multi-site portfolios).
-
Solid knowledge of building compliance and safety regulations.
-
Great people skills, you’ll work with everyone from service managers to contractors, building trust while holding firm when needed.
- The confidence to support managers and guide decision-making, even when that means saying no to non-essential requests.
-
Strong organisational and budgeting skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-
Flexibility to travel when required and a proactive mindset that’s ready to jump in wherever you’re needed.
At Story House, we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our community, which is why we are committed to the Child Safe Standards and have Safety as one of our values.
