SOM Neuroradiologist (M89536 & M89550) in MCV Main Campus
The Department of Radiology at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia, is recruiting two neuroradiologists to provide daytime, remote teleradiology, subspecialized all neuroradiology interpretation of CT, CTA, CT Perfusion, MR, perfusion imaging in support of a high-volume academic health system. This position is primarily clinical and is structured around a 7 days on / 7 days off daytime schedule, offering predictable coverage with no overnight shifts. Remote work arrangements are available from Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Talbot County, Maryland. The teleradiologist will deliver expert diagnostic interpretations of neuroimaging studies involving the brain, face, head, neck, peripheral nerves, and spine using a fully digitized, state-of-the-art PACS and voice recognition environment. The role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality communication with referring providers during daytime hours, supporting patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.

IRB Generalist in MCV Main Campus
The role of the IRB Generalist at Virginia Commonwealth University is instrumental in facilitating the review and implementation of reliance agreements, individual investigator agreements, and ceding memos. Proficiency in utilizing platforms such as Smart IRB and IRex is essential to streamline the reliance process while ensuring adherence to institutional policies and federal regulations governing human participant research. Efficient collaboration between research institutions is fostered through this role. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive pre-review and post-review analyses of IRB submissions, identifying and addressing missing information, and coordinating with investigators to rectify any deficiencies. The Generalist also verifies ancillary committee reviews and, upon compliance confirmation, facilitates external IRB review. Additionally, meticulous record-keeping of IRB reliance relationships and approved studies by external IRBs is essential, including retention of approval letters and reportable events. Serving as a liaison between external IRBs, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, and VCU study teams ensures timely and compliant reviews. Collaboration with colleagues in managing the IRB Reliance Program and providing guidance to researchers is integral to this role.
