Hourly Research Technician - School of Medicine, Neurosurgery in MCV Main Campus
A position is available for a part-time Research Technician in the laboratory of Drs. David Limbrick, Maria Garcia Bonilla, and Pat McAllister in the Department of Neurosurgery at Virginia Commonwealth University studying the pathophysiology and treatment of hydrocephalus, a prevalent disorder in pediatric and elderly patients. The lab’s research program is aimed at understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the various types of brain damage associated with hydrocephalus and developing more effective medical and surgical treatments for this disorder. We apply a combination of cell/molecular biology, advanced neuroimaging, and behavioral/cognitive approaches in experimental models and patients with hydrocephalus.
