Adjunct Instructor Arabic in VCU Main Campus
The Virginia Commonwealth University College of Humanities and Sciences is recruiting adjunct faculty to teach Arabic for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters within the Department of English. Candidates are expected to teach up to 3 courses (9 credit hours), in person. If successful, the possibility of teaching sections in additional semesters exists. Your application will remain active for a year; you may resubmit your application for subsequent years. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. NOTE: This is a part-time, non-benefited faculty position. Adjunct contracts are for one semester. Position duties include: Instruct students in Arabic classes. Meet all designated course instruction guidelines, including course preparation, assessments, grading, records management and submission of the course syllabus. Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided. Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. Submit final grades according to College/Department policy.

The Summer Pre-College Program at VCUarts is a three-week program that offers rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors the opportunity to take one non-credit course at VCUarts. Training and orientation equivalent to four hours will be required of the candidate prior to the start of the program. Classes will run for 3 weeks Monday through Friday, six hours a day.

The candidate will have the ability to engage in translational molecular research imaging at our new facility to include state-of-the-art research scanners and equipment. The successful candidate will have experience in imaging safety, research protocols, and patient care and monitoring in a radiology environment. The Clinical Research Nurse will provide all research study coordination and pre-scanning activities for the care of the research participant being seen by the Imaging Center. They will report to the Manager of Research Imaging with regulatory oversight from the Associate Director of Clinical Trials. Anticipated start date for May-June 2026.
