    • Assistant/Associate/Professor of Professional Practice in Stillwater

      The School of Materials, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University is pleased to invite applications for a career-track faculty position of Assistant/Associate/Professor of Professional Practice in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Candidates with industrial experience and a desire to teach students are encouraged to apply. This is a non-tenure track appointment with an emphasis on classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction.  The applicant should have the ability to teach some of the following undergraduate and graduate courses: Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances, Technical Drawing and Basic CAD, Hydraulic Fluid Power, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Machine Elements, Manufacturing Processes, Finite Element Methods, etc. Individuals with training and skills that complement and augment existing faculty expertise and have an interest in collaborative work are preferred. Positions will be located at the OSU Stillwater campus in the Engineering North building. With more than 225 undergraduates and 30 graduate students, MMME fosters collaborative and interdisciplinary research in the strategic areas of Materials Science, Mechatronics, Robotics and Manufacturing and a hands-on approach to instruction. Required Qualifications: A Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a field related to Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering is required along with excellent communication and organizational skills suitable for teaching undergraduate and graduate students is required. Industrial experience is required.

Individuals with training and skills that complement and augment existing faculty expertise and have an interest in collaborative work are preferred. The faculty member will be located on the OSU Stillwater campus and will be asked to teach remote students on the OSU-Tulsa campus through Zoom and/or Canvas.
