    • Engineering Program Manager in Stillwater

      We provide innovative support for emerging aerospace technology through research, scholarship, and service. This position will be responsible for managing and directing segments of major programs which require the formulation and implementation of coherent program plans, leadership of project leads and teams, and coordination with senior management, relevant parties, and customers. The position directs all program phases from inception through completion. Responsible for overseeing the cost, schedule, and coordinating technical performance of project team through collaboration with project leads. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, statements of work, operating budgets and contracting. Acts as a primary customer contact for program activities and directs technical customer interactions through project leads working under the program umbrella. Develops new business or expands the program scope with relevant parties. Monitors all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments. Identifies existing or potential program risks and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to projects under the program umbrella concerning technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas. May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers. Must have excellent customer and stakeholder communication and negotiation skills. Must have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

This position performs various serologic tests on animal blood/serum specimens; processes animal blood samples in preparation for serologic testing; prepares reagents, standardizes new tests to be put on line, assists in maintaining various cell lines for use in testing, and assists laboratory manager in running the laboratory. Proactively anticipate student needs and respond appropriately. Conduct trend analysis for an assigned territory; formulate action plans based on analysis. Work in conjunction with recruitment staff and leadership to integrate the results of analysis and planning into the University's overall enrollment plan. Demonstrate self-direction, creativity, and strategic thinking in prospect development, yield enhancement activities, information services, and problem resolution. Determine strategies for effective outreach for assigned territory; develop and initiate communication/activities to accomplish enrollment goals, including but not limited to outreach via email, telephone, and visits. Make presentations to large and small groups of prospective students/families, on and off-campus, about the opportunities available at OSU. Assist with daily office operations including answering phones, responding to emails, greeting, and providing counsel to prospective students, families, and guests to meet our customer service goals. Participate in the development and execution of on and off-campus recruitment, conversion, and yield activities/events designed to market Oklahoma State University to prospective freshman (and transfer) students. An essential function of this position is to maintain a personalized public presence in a wide range of environments such as high schools, college fairs, and community locations, among others. This may include and is not limited to the publication and broadcast of full name, work contact information, and time, date, and/or location of recruitment activity. Travel (in-state and out-of-state) away from campus and/or regional office multiple times per month with the duration ranging from 1 to 12 days. Overnight stays are often required depending on the time of year. This position will require the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
