Work closely with the Assistant Director, Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service/Family and Consumer Sciences program leader Serve as a team member of district professionals under the direct supervision and guidance of the District Extension Director Function as a liaison between field and state staff to promote effective interaction Provide staff development in organizational development and management, needs assessment, and program development in Family and Consumer Sciences Develop and implement a statewide FCS program that complements current programs at the state and district levels. The programmatic area will depend on the expertise and background of the individual Seek and develop new program ideas and inspire others to more effective, creative performance Identify appropriate educational delivery methods and resources for meeting the needs of clientele in urban, rural, and culturally diverse communities Increase awareness of family and consumer sciences by maintaining contacts with professional organizations and family service agencies and organizations Lead and collaborate with county, district, and state staff in the procurement of grant projects that contribute to individual and coordinated county extension programs Monitor FCS grants and special projects in the district Assume other duties as necessary due to vacancies or for other reasons as assigned by the District Extension Director

Participates as a cohesive team member to involve local clientele and advisory groups to plan, implement, and evaluate the total OSU Extension County program. Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain a cellular or other electronic communication device.  The incumbent’s salary includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device. Extension educators comply with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, etc., related to equal opportunity, civil rights, and affirmative action. Extension educators are hired into the organization not into a specific geographic location. It is possible that future circumstances may require relocation. Base annual salary for entry level educators who have a bachelor’s degree is $44,000; a master’s degree is $50,000. Starting salary is based upon education and prior relevant work experience. Extension educators hired with only a bachelor’s degree are encouraged to work toward completion of an approved master’s degree. Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance and available county funding.

The Fatherhood Initiative, in conjunction with Oklahoma Cooperative Extension, Oklahoma State University’s Human Development and Family Science department and OKDHS, is a grant funded program designed to enhance men’s involvement in family life through a 12-week educational program. The program coordinator position involves recruiting 4 groups of fathers per year and delivering in-person the evidence based 24/7 DAD program which focuses on increasing fathers’ parenting knowledge and skills, enhancing fathers’ relationship and co-parenting skills, and improving economic stability for the fathers’ and their families. The coordinators will also provide case management services to fathers as needed. This is a grant funded position contingent upon performance and available funding. RESPONSIBILITIES:· Provide day to day leadership and timeline management for the 24/7 DAD program· Develop community partnerships Recruit the determined number of fathers in each cohort to participate in programming· Facilitate the delivery programming Conduct case management of participants Plan events and activities related to programming Assist in purchasing of materials and management of state and county budgets and expenses (e.g., pcard) related to programs Assist in data management and collection Assist in the development of dissemination tools (e.g., reports, impact statements, newsletters, recruitment, advertising, and fact sheets) Assist the OSU state level Fatherhood Program Coordinator with other responsibilities as assigned Benefits: There are lots of great reasons to work at OSU, check out our benefits and eligibility at https://hr.okstate.edu/prospective-ee.htm
