Other duties will be to assist with the creation of corrective paperwork, employee action requests, billing, requisitions, data entry, and monthly reconciliation. You will also attend Business Office Staff Meetings, serve as a backup to the business office team, and ensure that all financial activities are in accordance with federal, state, university, college, and sponsor policies and procedures. The AIGR has in recent years expanded its mission to encompass beef Cattle research and Extension. Enhancing information exchange and producer skill levels through hands-on workshops, field days, and web-based information and interactive components is the goal of the extension program. Care for goat producers worldwide is engendered through international activities that encompass research, human capacity building, and village development. These programs, along with knowledgeable and caring personnel and a dedication to the improvement of the lives of goat and hair sheep producers around the world, have made the LU-AIGR a recognized leader in the arena of small ruminant production technologies. The recently enhanced focus on product development and consumption of meat and milk products has added a new dimension to the AIGR. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the research, development, and transfer of enhanced goat and hair sheep production and distribution system technologies, as well as initiatives related to beef cattle research and Extension. Assist with conducting cutting-edge, results-driven research that provides relevant, usable information for producers, researchers, and consumers. Help implement the community-based extension program, including organizing hands-on workshops, field days, and other outreach activities. Contribute to web-based information and interactive components that enhance producer skill levels and knowledge exchange. Support international activities focused on research, human capacity building, and village development initiatives for goat producers worldwide. Provide administrative, communication, and programmatic support to ensure excellence in research, extension, teaching, and international programs in alignment with Langston University’s Land Grant mission. Perform other duties as needed to further AIGR’s commitment to improving the lives of goat, hair sheep, and cattle producers locally and globally.
