Early Family Literacy Assistant in Lakewood
The Reach Out and Read Colorado at RRCC is seeking dependable, detail-oriented work-study students to support the Read Me Again program, which provides gently used children's books to families through pediatric clinics and community partners. This role plays an important role in helping prepare and organize books so they can be distributed to children across Colorado. Reach Out and Read Colorado partners with pediatric healthcare providers to improve school readiness and social-emotional skills through trusted literacy guidance and reading together. Through routine well-child visits, children receive new books, and caregivers receive guidance on fostering early language development, helping build a foundation for lifelong learning and success. The Read Me Again program extends this impact by redistributing gently used children's books to families and communities where they are needed most.
