Part of the Finance Division, Group Reporting creates a Centre of Excellence for our stakeholders (from across all divisions) that provides access to trusted, and value add Business Intelligence capability that enables data driven operational and strategic decision making.  The Business Intelligence Engineer will be part of the:

• Strategy for reporting: design and implement data models, dashboards, and reports using powerBI. Developing the strategy will require you to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and analytics to enhance data capabilities. data modelling, data visualization, and dashboard collation
• Business Intelligence: Undertake analysis across numerous data sources to identify trends, build hypotheses, prioritise metrics and establish consistent definitions for use across BEN. This will require you to understand our Group Data Strategy.

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a diverse and unique opportunity where you’ll be providing high level subject matter expertise:

• Lead the design thinking, engage with stakeholders to understand functional and technical requirements and deliver high performing end to end solutions for various initiatives, provide specialist consultancy, explore available data at BEN and lead the adoption of self-service analytics.

This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum three days per week based out of our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Brisbane or Sydney corporate office.

What you’ll bring to the role

 To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

• Highly experienced in developing Power BI data models with Power Query and DAX
• Experience with GCP/Google Cloud Platforms or AWS/Amazon products and certifications will be highly regarded
• Have a positive mindset and be adaptable to change with a proactive work ethic and passion about our business and customers.
• A strong self-learner, always seeking to increase skills in Power BI and Excel
• Ability to adapt analytical insight to effectively communicate findings appropriate for the audience
• Willingness to share knowledge and coach other Business Intelligence resources
• Creative problem solver, with the ability to think strategically and be able to drive innovation and collaboration
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience in Computing, Business, Analytics, or other related disciplines
