The Marketing Team is seeking a Senior Content Manager. This is a senior editorial and people leader role within Myer’s Content & Production team, responsible for driving the creative and strategic vision across social media and influencer marketing for Myer’s brand portfolio.
The Senior Content Manager is the connective tissue between the content strategy set by the Head of Content & Production and the day-to-day execution delivered by the social and influencer teams, translating seasonal priorities, cultural moments and category needs into compelling, platform-native narratives that drive both brand love and commercial outcomes.
This is an equal parts creative and commercial role. It requires strong editorial judgement, a sophisticated understanding of social platforms and creator culture and the ability to lead and inspire a team of specialist content practitioners across multiple brand identities simultaneously.
About the role:
- Drive editorial planning across seasons, cultural moments and commerce priorities building and maintaining an always-on content calendar that integrates campaign narratives, category priorities and tentpole retail events across all four brand expressions.
- Translate the overarching content strategy set by the Head of Content & Production into clear, actionable editorial frameworks and content plans for the social and influencer teams.
- Identify and activate cultural moments, platform trends and emerging content formats that are relevant and brand-appropriate across Myer, Myer Exclusive Brands, Marcs and David Lawrence.
- Lead and develop two Social Media Managers, each responsible for a distinct brand stream: one overseeing Myer brand social, and one leading social for Myer Speciality Brands
- Ensure each brand social stream has a distinct, ownable voice and visual identity that is consistent across all platforms, while remaining coherent within Myer’s broader brand portfolio.
- Guide creative direction across social content — providing clear editorial feedback on copy, visual storytelling, format choices and platform-specific optimisation.
- Maintain oversight of platform strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Facebook for all four brand expressions, identifying opportunities to evolve presence and performance.
- Lead and develop the Influencer Marketing Manager in building and executing a best-in-class influencer strategy across Myer brand, Myer Exclusive Brands, Marcs and David Lawrence.
- Review and approve influencer briefs, content outputs and partnership proposals, ensuring brand voice, aesthetic standards and commercial objectives are consistently met.
- Act as the senior editorial authority across social and influencer output — guiding content quality, accuracy, tone of voice and creative direction across all four brand expressions.
- Champion storytelling that balances inspirational content with commercial intent — ensuring narratives are engaging, visually compelling and drive measurable outcomes.
- Partner with category squads — Womenswear, Menswear, Beauty, Kidswear and Home — to integrate product priorities and commercial objectives into the content and social calendar.
- Collaborate with eCommerce and CRM teams to ensure content supports Myer’s owned digital platforms as primary storytelling and commerce environments.
- Foster a culture of creative curiosity, platform fluency and continuous learning within the team.
About you:
- 6+ years in a traffic management, production management, or project management role within an in-house marketing team, creative agency, or media organisation.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream production schedules in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working within a content or creative team, with an understanding of the end-to-end production process for digital and social content.
- Proficiency in project management and workflow tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to manage expectations, negotiate timelines, and build trust across the team.
- A collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset, this role is fundamentally about enabling others to succeed.
- Understanding of content production for digital and social media channels, including typical asset requirements and lead times
