About the Role
As the Simulation Suite Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the CALHN Medical Education Unit by facilitating innovative simulation-based education and training. Your expertise will help enhance interprofessional learning, ultimately improving safety and quality in healthcare delivery. In this diverse and dynamic position, you will be responsible for setting up and delivering advanced simulation technologies that provide healthcare professionals with realistic training scenarios, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of their roles.
In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also provide essential technical support, including the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of simulation equipment and systems. Your proactive approach and problem-solving skills will be invaluable as you assist educators and trainees in utilising these technologies effectively. About You
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Simulation Suite Technical Officer who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to healthcare education. To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as simulation, IT, or healthcare, with NHET-Sim Program certification preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines, demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and service delivery, ensuring effective relationships within the team.
- A solid understanding of IT networks, clinical simulation equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
