About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a research officer where you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to divisional projects approved by the CAMHS Executive group, working in the perinatal and infant mental health team
- Conducting research activities relevant to CAMHS, focusing on the evaluation of therapeutic groups for mothers and their infants
- Collaborating with clinical staff, administrative staff and other stakeholders within CAMHS and the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN)
- Support and actively participate in a positive culture and safe work environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in the preparation of project documentation and with data entry and preparation of data reports
- Knowledge of research and evaluation methodologies, including experience in working with or interviewing parents with mental health difficulties, data transcription, literature searches, and taking projects through ethics processes
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment and independently under limited direction to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to liaise, consult and engage in a culturally sensitive manner with individuals, communities and agencies
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to foster professional working relationships both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to use information and communication technology including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Database Programs
