The position

We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst to deliver high-quality financial and operational insights that drive performance across our diverse portfolio. In this role, you will partner closely with operational, finance, and commercial leaders to translate complex data into actionable insights, enabling informed decisions and influencing business outcomes. 

You will play a key role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency, enhance reporting capability, and embed a strong financial discipline across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Operational Analysis

  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial and operational analysis to support performance improvement across sites
  • Provide meaningful insights into operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyse key cost drivers including labour, food, and site operations to identify optimisation opportunities

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models
  • Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions
  • Support month-end processes, including reporting and performance commentary

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Operations Managers, Site Leads, and Finance teams to drive performance outcomes
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on financial implications and strategic opportunities
  • Collaborate with commercial, procurement, and HR teams to align on business priorities

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Build and maintain KPI frameworks to track financial and operational performance
  • Support business cases, pricing strategies, and investment decisions
  • Identify and implement improvements in reporting, automation, and data quality
  • Proactively identify performance gaps and support implementation of corrective actions
  • Monitor and evaluate outcomes to continuously refine recommendations

 

About You

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Proven experience in a business partnering role, influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into commercial insights
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in operational, site-based, or multi-site environments
  • Knowledge of cost drivers within hospitality, mining, or services sectors
  • Experience using ERP systems and/or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
