About the Role
The Director of Research and Staff Development is a key role in developing teacher capacity and expertise in the delivery of the Australian curriculum, BSSS Frameworks and in High Impact Teaching. The Director of Research and Staff Development plays a key role in teacher mentoring and development, instructional coaching and HALT certification. The College is seeking a person who is committed to the vision of the College ‘Living the truth, leading with courage, learning for life’ who is invested in and who will promote the mission of Catholic education.
The Director of Research and Staff Development also provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning and staff development in the delivery of junior, senior education at the College, utilising best practice in current research, evidence and innovation to meet the needs of all learners. The Director of Research and Staff Development reports to the Assistant Principals’ Staff Development, Curriculum and Innovation, Teaching and Learning, and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College.
This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
